If you are tired of seeing the same clothes in every mall, Dallas has a good set of independent boutiques where the owners pick every piece. Most are clustered in walkable neighborhoods, so you can see several in one afternoon. Here are six worth a visit, grouped by neighborhood.
Every name and address below was checked against at least two public sources, including the shops' own websites, local press and map listings. Boutique hours often run later on weekends and change for holidays and events, so check before you go.
Bishop Arts
Bishop Arts is the easiest place in Dallas to boutique-hop on foot. Several of these shops sit within a block or two of each other on North Bishop Avenue.
Blue Dahlia
414 N Bishop Ave, Dallas, TX 75208
For more than 11 years, Blue Dahlia has sold one-of-a-kind clothing, jewelry, handbags, home decor, fragrances and gifts, picked from artisans and designers around the world. The shop leans on personal service: styling help, handwritten thank-you notes and gift wrapping. It also hosts a customer holiday party each December. It is open late on weekend evenings, which makes it a good stop after dinner in the neighborhood.
Bella & Brawn
413 N Bishop Ave, Dallas, TX 75208
Right across the street from Blue Dahlia. Bella & Brawn moved to Bishop Arts from Lower Greenville in 2022. It sells relaxed, nostalgic-feeling clothing for women along with some menswear, plus jewelry, home decor and candles. Local coverage singled out its vintage vessel candles as a specialty and a good gift.
Tyler Kingston Mercantile
Men's shop: 250 N Bishop Ave, Suite 170, Dallas, TX 75208 Women's shop: 408 N Bishop Ave, Suite 103, Dallas, TX 75208
A Texas boutique with separate men's and women's shops in Bishop Arts. Its website lists hours of 11 am to 7 pm on weekdays, 10 am to 7 pm on Saturday and 10 am to 6 pm on Sunday. It also has a Lower Greenville shop (below) and stores in downtown McKinney.
Lower Greenville
Tyler Kingston Mercantile (Lower Greenville)
1900 Greenville Ave, Dallas, TX 75206
The Lower Greenville location keeps the same hours as the Bishop Arts shops. Lower Greenville has plenty of restaurants and patios, so it is easy to turn a shopping trip into an evening out.
Knox Street and Henderson Avenue
STAG Provisions
3130 Knox St, Suite 110, Dallas, TX 75205 · Knox Street
A menswear shop that describes its style as "contemporary men's clothing with classic roots." Along with clothing, it sells accessories, gifts, apothecary items and some antiques. Its website lists hours of 10 am to 7 pm Monday through Saturday and 10 am to 6 pm on Sunday. STAG also has shops outside Dallas.
Martini Consignment
2909 N Henderson Ave, Dallas, TX 75206 · Henderson Avenue
For something truly rare, Martini Consignment sells collectible designer and vintage fashion. Owners Ken and Greg were early online vintage sellers and opened their first shop in 2007. In 2025 they began selling archive pieces from the French fashion house Pierre Cardin. It is a short drive from Knox Street.
Tips for a Dallas boutique day
- Start in Bishop Arts. Blue Dahlia, Bella & Brawn and the Tyler Kingston shops are all close together on North Bishop Avenue. Park once and walk.
- Ask for help. Boutique owners and staff know their stock well. Tell them what you are looking for and what you usually wear. Some shops offer one-on-one styling.
- Ask about returns first. Small shops often have shorter return windows or store credit only. Find out before you buy.
- Follow your favorites on Instagram. Many boutiques post new arrivals, sales and events there first, and some will hold an item if you message them.
- Shop for gifts, too. Most of these shops carry jewelry, candles and home goods alongside clothing.
Why shop independent boutiques?
When you buy from a boutique, you are buying from someone who chose each piece on purpose. You are less likely to show up to a party in the same outfit as someone else, and you get advice from people who want you to come back. Your money also stays with local owners and the neighborhoods that make Dallas fun to explore.
