What Onhand is

Onhand is an information service. It tells AI assistants what local businesses carry, their prices, hours, and open appointment times, and hands shoppers off to the business or its provider to buy or book.

• We are not the seller. Goods, services, prices, and fulfillment are the business's responsibility.
• We do not process payments. Payment happens with the business or its provider, such as Square, Shopify, or Calendly, on their terms.
• Availability is reported as in stock, low, or out, and may change at any moment. We withhold data that has gone stale, but we cannot guarantee an item or time is still available.
• Ranking is never for sale.

Accounts and assistant sign-in

Some features require signing in, directly or through your assistant. Keep your credentials secure and tell us at privacy@askonhand.com if you think your account has been misused. You must be at least 13, and old enough to form a binding contract where you live, to create an account.

For shoppers

• Every booking, checkout, or quote request needs your explicit approval in your assistant before it happens.
• Any purchase or booking is between you and the business. Their policies on prices, cancellations, refunds, and returns apply.
• Reviews must reflect your real experience. Only a completed booking or purchase can leave one, and we may remove reviews that break these terms.

For merchants

• You must be authorized to manage the business you list or claim, and to connect its systems.
• Keep your information accurate. You are responsible for the goods and services you offer, and for honoring prices and times shown from your connected systems.
• You let us display your business information and connected catalog, prices, availability, and openings to shoppers and assistants, and use them to run Onhand.
• Paid plans are billed by Stripe at the price shown on our pricing. You can cancel any time, effective at the end of the billing period. Fees already paid are not refundable except where required by law.
• Paying for a plan never changes how you rank, whether you are trusted, or who owns a listing.

Businesses we list from public sources

We list businesses using public information. A listed business makes no availability claim through Onhand. To correct or remove a listing, email privacy@askonhand.com.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Submit false listings, impersonate a business, or claim one you do not manage.
• Interfere with Onhand's security, get around rate limits or access controls, or access data that is not yours.
• Scrape or bulk-copy Onhand outside the tools and interfaces we provide.
• Use Onhand to break the law or to harm others.

Third-party services

AI assistants, sign-in providers, payment and booking providers, and other services you use with Onhand are governed by their own terms. We are not responsible for them.

Our rights

Onhand, its software, and its brand belong to us. We may suspend or end access for anyone who breaks these terms or puts others at risk, and you may stop using Onhand at any time.

Disclaimers and limits

Onhand is provided "as is" and "as available." To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, including that information is accurate, complete, or current. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for the acts of businesses or providers. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or $100. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

Indemnity

Merchants will defend and indemnify us against claims arising from their goods, services, listings, or breach of these terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts in Dallas County, Texas, unless the law where you live requires otherwise.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms and will post the new version here with a new date. For a material change we will give notice before it takes effect. Continuing to use Onhand after that means you accept the change. Questions or general support: help@askonhand.com. Legal matters: privacy@askonhand.com.
